I managed to break my glasses last night. I fell asleep on the sofa and woke up with my glasses underneath me and one of the legs snapped off. It wouldn’t bother me so much, but that’s the second pair I have broken in the space of a month or so. The last pair inexplicably snapped all by themselves when I was busy sunbathing. It transpired that I was sunbathing a bit too much as my painfully red chest would show later that night, but that’s another story.
So when I had to find my spare glasses this morning, it turns out I accidentally hid them when unpacking from my holiday. Thats OK though, because it’s really easy to see what you are doing indoors while wearing prescription sunglasses. I imagine driving at night will be equally easy.
Luckily I do have some contact lenses too, but they make me a bit odd when I wear them. Like I am stoned or something. Again, this makes driving an interesting experience.
The good news is that they were stupidly cheap, so I have been able to order replacements for next to nothing. In fact I ordered a new set of frames (to put my existing lenses in), a new pair of identical complete glasses so I have a backup plus another two pairs of different glasses just because I fancied them. Total cost £50. Including shipping.
